General description

A competitive, selective inhibitor for protein kinase C (IC₅₀ = 10 nM) over protein kinase A (IC₅₀ = 900 nM), Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase (IC₅₀ = 17 µM) and phosphorylase protein kinase. Inhibits TPA induced p47 phosphorylation in platelets (IC₅₀ = 700 nM). Also inhibits CD3 downregulation in T cells (IC₅₀ = 500 nM).
